dè dh’itheadh tusa? what would you eat?
dh’ithinn bradan I would eat salmon
To ask someone ‘if they would eat’ you use an itheadh …?
an itheadh tu …? would you eat …?
To suggest that someone might give something, you use nan toireadh.
nan toireadh duine dhomh if anyone gave me
To ask someone ‘if they would enjoy something’ you use an còrdadh …?
an còrdadh sin riut? would you enjoy that?
You could answer:
chòrdadh yes (to an còrdadh …?)
cha chòrdadh no (to an còrdadh …?)
